Olivia, Ben, and I did a news story about the construction of the bike lane. We started off strong but then the town wouldn't get back to us. We finally got ahold of someone when we went down there and we interviewed them on the spot. The TASCAMs batteries were dead so we just used the ROUD Mic and it still came out pretty good. I was the news anchor and that was fun to get outside of my comfort zone and step in front of the camera instead of being behind it. Ben did a very good job with the camera work. He made the shots look beautiful. Olivia did good with the sound, she was new to basically everything so it was good just seeing her get practice with everything. Overall, I think the news story came out pretty well but next time we need to get better B-Roll.
This news story is about Robert De Niro getting sued by his secretary for harassment and gender discrimination. They have B-Roll of the two and everything they were talking about. This came after De Niro sued first because the woman took money from De Niro's company. This is a wild story that even goes into the lawsuit papers. They had an anchor in the beginning and end. in the beginning she gave an overview and during the news there was a voiceover. At the end the anchor signs off.
