1.The Lion King (1994)

I watched the 1994 version of The Lion King. This movie was a classic when I was younger. Realizing it now as a teenager that the movie is not that innocent. It has a lot of upset and miserable lines and scenes. The movie is animated to it is not as easy to pick up on the camera angles and see where they went wrong. You can not see the light in the eyes when they are close up. There are a lot more effects produced because its animated they can add effects a lot easier with animations to go with the film then adding them into a normal film and having to edit them so much. Even though this is an animated film, it still has a camera based structure. In the movie the angles are more faced toward the middle of the screen. It a lot of still and pan shots to get the feel of the scene instead of making the camera move in way you would while making a more complex non-animated film. The voice actors do a very good job at staying in character. These guys have it easier so to say because they can retake as much as they want. Since it is an animated movie would be already done with the script already put together. They can go over and over again until they get there line right. The movie in general is a very good movie. It is a childhood classic that when looking at it now it feels like a completely different movie. There are still those emotional parts that hit you the same way it did to you when you were a kid. The main phrase used in the film is “Hakuna Matata”. This means no worries for the rest of our days. It means that you shouldn’t worry about anything and just go with the flow. Simba the main character spends most of his life growing up with that moto. All because Simba's mean uncle made it seem like it was Simba’s fault that Mufasa died. This made Simba run away. Simba eventually learns that he has to decide his fate. Simba returns many years later to fight off Scar. The movies animations are very good. The movie has beautiful colors and when it needs to change scenery you can tell. You can also tell when they want to make you scared or happy or worried they make the background or the colors change to give you that feel. The lion king is also a new non-animated movie that gives off more of the real life film. I haven’t seen this movie, it looks really cool and the camera angles and everything does look good. The overall movie is very good. It sends different impacts for however old you are. It easy to watch when you are younger. Now I think this shouldn’t have been a children's movie just because it is a pretty dark story.

2. Rocky

I watched the movie Rocky with Sylvester Stallone. He plays the role of the main character Rocky. In the beginning of the movie it starts off with Rocky fighting his small town opponent in a small gym. At first it doesn’t look good for Rocky but then...his opponent then headbutts Rocky. Rocky gets mad so he loses it then starts wailing on the guy knocking him out right into the mat. Rocky doesn’t win much for the fight, he only won $40. So to keep being able to pay for other things he works as a money collector”. He works for a mob/boss and he collects money who haven't paid. While doing this he is trying to catch the attention or a local store clerk Adrian. Adrian doesn’t know why Rocky boxes, he tells her it is because he is a bum and a moron.Rocky soon has an opportunity to prove to himself that he isn't a bum, after all. Heavyweight champion of the world, Apollo Creed, needs a new challenger. Creed has flair, and he wants the fight to be a spectacle. So he chooses Rocky Balboa, the Italian Stallion, knowing what good publicity it will be when he gives a local Philly boy a shot at the title.Rocky doesn't think he's good enough to fight Creed. But he realizes that he doesn't have to  win  to prove to himself that he isn't a bum. He simply has to "go the distance," which means fifteen rounds with the champ without getting knocked out. No one has ever done that before, and Rocky is determined to be the first. So all he cares about is the reputation he puts in for lasting so long not the fact that he wants to win. He trains a whole lot, he jogs up the steps of Philadelphia's Museum of Art. He punches slabs of meat in the slaughterhouse. Mickey, the owner of a local gym, becomes Rocky's trainer and manager. On New Years day the biggest match of the century occurs. Rocky vs Apollo Creed. Rockys trainer tells him that he has to go for Creed’s ribs, so Rocky does. Actually he breaks a few of his ribs. But Rocky gets his nose broken but to everyone's surprise he kept his cool.He goes the distance with the champ. He doesn't win the fight, but he doesn't care, because he has proven his own self-worth. (Aw, shucks.) And he has Adrian. She rushes from the locker room, through the crowd, and onto the ring to embrace Rocky, swollen face and all. The two soulmates say "I love you" for the first time, and the movie ends with this romantic knockout. This movie had a good aspect of that you don't always need to win.
